Dr. Maribel Ramírez Hinojosa has been providing psychological services since 2000. She was trained in California as a Marriage and Family Therapist before pursuing her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. She moved to College Station after her husband accepted a professorship at Texas A&M. After working with Associates for Applied Psychology (AAP) in College Station for ten years, she decided to open Arbor Psychological.

In an effort to stay professionally connected and current with the research, Dr. Ramírez Hinojosa maintains the following affiliations:

It is Arbor Psychological’s desire to provide quality and individualized mental health care to the people of the Brazos Valley and its surrounding area. While Dr. Ramírez Hinojosa’s therapeutic approach is eclectic in an effort to customize care, she primarily espouses a cognitive behavioral and systemic theoretical orientation. Her goal is to help patients increase self awareness in an effort to make positive change to enrich their lives. From using play therapy with children to having worked extensively with the geriatric population, Dr. Ramírez Hinojosa enjoys working with all individuals on the age spectrum. Besides conducting individual therapy, she also provides both couples/marital and family therapy. Dr. Ramírez Hinojosa offers evidence based treatment to help people enhance their well-being, relationships and life satisfaction in order to lead more fulfilling lives.
